Re: Rehearsal on day of performance
I review spots and try to do beginning and end of each piece. My class is 50 minutes, so I try to do 10 minute warm up/tune and ten minutes on each piece. Last 10 minutes to go over everything they need to know for contest and final motivation.
During the last tem minutes I sometimes also look at a sight reading piece. We look at it for a few seconds then turn it over. I then ask people to raise their hand if they know the answer to my questions. Who knows what the key signature is? Do you have any accidentals? etc....
