This is for a 3A school with a medium sized but successful program.

We are looking to add some electronics to the field for the first time this upcoming year. We want to be able to run a midi keyboard/laptop through a decent sound system. We already have a Xantrex Powerpack 1500 for power. What else do we need in terms of a sound board or speakers?

We don't need a tremendous amount of sound, but prefer to keep it simple and effective. Keyboard would be used to reinforce pit percussion, reinforce low brass/bass line and/or to trigger the occasional other sound. Budget would be preferably under $1,500 but not more than $2,000 if that's possible.

Any suggestions?
