Small 2A/1C.

My admin has pretty much killed my program going forward. Currently, all 6th-grade students take band. In 7th-grade they are allowed two electives, and they can choose between band, music appreciation, and a keyboarding/career investigation class. In 8th-grade they have the same choices but also add in theater, and this year they quietly added in Intro to Ag.

Here's where they've killed the program. The 7th-grade students were told that starting next year, if you want to be in Ag/FFA in high school, then you MUST take Intro to Ag as an 8th grader! Currently, I'd still keep many of my students in band through 8th grade because many didn't want to take theater or music app and so they'd take band and career investigation. Now I'm afraid I've lost a lot of them because they'd rather go play computer games and go do the Ag thing.

Needless to say, I'm trying to find a new school to teach at next year.
