We told our admin about the law changed. We never discussed if we were going to adopt a stricter policy. If they want that, they can develop in on their own - I'm not going to put it out there.

I believe the law finally caught up to what is right. It has never made any sense to me that a students shouldn't be able to perform in an evaluation. The only difference (as I see it) from UIL to a regular concert is that UIL is not on my campus/district and we are performing for feedback. There is nothing "extra" about it. TEA made the right decision for our students when they changed this. As someone that grew up out of state, NP/NP as applied to most music events has never sat right with me.
