Edward Lisk did a chapter devoted to this very thing and it’s incredible!
I have a procedure modeled after that chapter that has worked very well for teaching students to tune/listen better.
The short sequence gives students the opportunity to practice tuning each day. Once students can hear and manipulate pitch, it improves their ability to listen and match while playing in an ensemble.
It works well for both MS and HS.
