You can't do the follow me anymore with smartmusic. You can't have offline access to files. Your best and safest option in the event there are no accompanist is to use a recording. You can add rit. and accel to the recording and will be totally acceptable. Just have a nice set of speakers to balance the volume with the performer.

This is wonderful because students can rehearse with the recording and have consistency and predictability.
