I agree with retireder. Wait until all of the events are over for the kids. After all, we teach because of them, not ourselves. Our retirement is about us, not them. I waited until the last week to tell my students when I left. My admin knew in January and my staff knew in May. But I never wanted it to be about me because guess what, I'm gone but the program lives on and that's the way it SHOULD be.
