...not when the term has been completed, the documentation part comes into play when the school wants to get rid of you in the middle of a contract...like after year 2 on a 3 year contract for example. That is why districts' attorneys always recommend to school boards to only hand out 1-year contracts regardless if they are term or probationary. That way it is easier to get rid of a teacher on a term contract.
