I am currently pursuing this degree through UNT, though there, it is it is called the Educational Leadership program. I remember being pretty confused between "administration" and "leadership", but honestly, it seems to depend on the school you are looking into. That said, I am in this program to become a principal in the coming years, though I have run into other students that their goal is to be a FAD. The difference may just be whether you get certification or not.
Since I am still in the middle of it, it's hard for me to say if where you get the degree from really matters. That said, make sure to do your homework if you are looking at the cheaper programs. While I was deciding what to do, I dug a little deeper and found some consistently bad reviews regarding this track. I was not really interested in missing important deadlines and shelling out more money because of a lack of communication and guidance in those programs.
I started my classes in August with UNT, and as stressful as it has been teaching all day and going home and doing homework most nights, I am really happy with the program and how it is progressing.
Good luck!
