Show value. Get comparable pay rates for surrounding districts. Lay out a time sheet to show them actual time (rehearsals and shows). Don't inflate the numbers. Just be realistic and hope they see the value. And be nice. You'd be amazed at how far a smile and cordial tone can go, (and if that doesn't work unleash the moms)....
