I look for lit. that will keep the students engaged and learning. I also take into consideration benchmarking, STAAR pullouts, athletics, etc. and try to plan intelligently. Here are some of my past UIL programs. Our groups never recieved any negative concerns/comments about the choices of music. You gotta do what you gotta to to keep the momentum going forward for the band program. No one knows your situation better than you!
