We are a 3C MS and we are not taking our bands to UIL. Our region is allowing individual schools/districts to host their own C&SR so we wouldn't' have to really travel anywhere except to our HS to use the auditorium. But, considering I have seen abut 25% of my three bands in person (that is 25% combined, not each band) and baout the same online. To top it off, the 25% in-person doesn't even come every day, or every other day. We are on an A/B day schedule but a group 1/2 cohort. Kids go to half their classes on A-days and the other half on B-days. BUT...in-person kids are divided into two groups group 1 comes on 2-3 days a week while group 2 stays at home. So, M-W could be group 1 going to A-B-A classes, and Th-F could be group 2 going to B-A classes. The next week it might flip around to where the group 1 is only on campus 2 days and group 2 gets to come three days but that depends on if there is a day off or not. In short, I MAY get to see my in-person kids twice a week, but it could be once a week. We do have a small number that come everyday but that is only about 8 in the contest groups (I don't even want to get into beginners. That is too depressing). I don't see how we could even attempt to go to C&SR this year. Heck, we are even talking about sitting out next year just due to the fact that we are still missing out on a ton of instruction.
