2. Line item veto which wouldn't be necessary if we did number 3....
3. Bills should have to fit on a single piece of paper and written in plain English and should be single items that match their title. If you need to cover multiple items then write individual bills. No more hiding stuff that doesn't pertain to the actual bill which is what happened with many of the Covid bills, both those that were passed and those that were shot down.
4. Congress should pass an actual annual budget or congress works with no benefits or salary until they pass a budget and they don't get back pay for the days worked without a budget. Most states have it in their constitutions that they must pass a budget. The feds should do the same thing.
5. Washington looks out for Washington and we are put wee peasants to them regardless of what letter is in front of their name when they run for office.
And just a clarifying question - who's money are the Republicans spending versus the Democrats? Last time I checked I write a check to the IRS, not a party. And I write some big checks so I'm just trying to figure out who I should be mad at. The only time I have had my taxes reduced in my 40 plus years of breathing has been the current administration so I'm thinking they both spend like crazy since it isn't their money. Maybe I'm wrong and you can help me out.
