Thanks for all the info to think through! You're correct that the wall is more important than the actual hanger mount. It is for a brand new school so I'll have to check what the material for the wall will be from.

So I'm guessing your solution (like most) is just store them in cases? I'm just trying to cut down on wear and tear from assembling and disassembling every day (and kids being late to rehearsal or class because of it). Wenger has some rolling stands we have at my current school and they work but not very well and take up a tremendous amount of floor space.

So I guess fingers crossed for cinder block...
