There aren't very many of them on the team so unlike a football team that might have 100 kids on the team, (Freshman through varsity), only 10 or 20 kids play basketball. So even if the entire team got it at the same time it has a much smaller impact. Several Volleyball teams around the Houston area shut down for a few weeks because they went partying and spread it. But because it was a smaller group wasn't as impactful and didn't end the season.

Everyone on this board talks about how dangerous the bus rides are. Well, with only 10 kids on the bus you can distance pretty well so there is that.

Don't always look for the falling sky. Maybe look for a way to make things work for the kids that desperately need to be on that court.
