Re: Number fudging
My child's school counts cases whether you are at home or on campus. Total enrollment. Because some of those kids at home are involved in after school activities like band. And in a particular case I know of an at-home student, who picked up the virus at one of those essential businesses that never closes, caused multiple kids to be quarantined, (none ever had symptoms or tested positive), because of close contact at an after school event. They were counted in the total number of students because they are all students at the school, not just the kids on campus. And at some point, they ALL come into contact with each other whether at school or in the community. I don't think that's fudging the numbers. That's showing the number of students in the community who have reported cases.
Remember, most people never even know they have it so a lot of cases will go unreported anyway. I know I certainly won't get tested unless I have a bunch of the symptoms.
