Push hard on getting them to play every day. Do Flipgrid assignments. Use Smartmusic if you have it. Make sure they get horn to face as much as possible - but go SLOW at the beginning since you won't be there to make corrections. They WILL develop some INSANELY bad habits and workarounds with you not seeing them every day in person. Be ready to make drastic course changes.
Once you've gotten them all to a point where they have basic proficiency, ramp them up. But this won't be a year where you finish your beginner material. If they know ten to twelve notes and maybe a scale by May, you're in good shape. Be ready for Beginning Band Level 2 to occur next year with ALL of your beginning kids.
