The sad part is only 2 of those are caused by covid, but that's another story.

We decided long ago that when UIL arrived, if we had something we could put on the field, we would go. And if judges give us a 4 because we have too many holes or didn't move enough during a GLOBAL PANDEMIC, then fine. Whatever. We consider it a success that we can attend contest at all.
Fortunately, I have admin and community support behind us. If you don't, that's a different story.
I worked under two UIL judges in earlier in my career and expect two things:
Judges will understand the holes AND understand you've had kids quarantined throughout the year and be hesitant to issues 4's and 5's this year.
This year will always have an asterisk next to it anyway, whether literal or not.
