A student shall compete in the Region in which he is currently receiving the majority of his educational instruction to meet graduation requirements. A private school student shall compete in the comparable UIL classification according to the enrollment of the school. A magnet school student shall compete in the UIL classification of the largest high school in the same school district. A charter school student shall compete in the school’s UIL assigned or equivalent classification.
I don't understand why a private school a block from a 6A school gets to enter students as a 3A school. Isn't their situation the same as a charter or magnet, they live in the same area, have the same resources, and are in that expensive school by choice. Small school student don't have any of those advantages.
Help me understand.
