I second this. I teach at a small 3A and share kids with almost every other organization on campus. We chose to schedule 7am rehearsals that continued through 1st period and have almost no other conflicts because most other groups choose to hold practices after school. We also scheduled applied classes for the last 2 periods of the day to allow our top kids to take lessons for All-Region, etc. Schedule works well. We've had multiple All-Stater's the last 4 years.
On a side note, this also allows you to go home early and not have to stay at work all day and night. I love being able to go home right after school to spend time with my own family.
