Re: Colleges canceling football
My guess is no. Running thoughts on Sports Radio earlier today was Big 12, ACC, and SEC will play. Plus I heard that NFL may play on Saturdays and Sundays so TV's will still sell their advertisement and the repercussions for the athletes of the Bix 10 and Pac 12 will be huge. Football will survive. But how many other athletes are about to lose their scholarships because Football is the $ driver. Say bye bye to volleyball and other smaller schools, (and some might use this to axe their women's athletics programs completely). And how many more businesses in those college towns are about to fold, (and I'm not talking about economics over health). The reality is many college towns will lose a ton of things like restaurants, hotels, and retail sales, (for those pesky things like tailgating)....
