Beginner Drum Method Book: Wessels Book vs. Wyle Book vs Row Loff Toolbox Book

I have been using the Row-Loff Snare Drummers Toolbox for my beginner class in the past, with supplemental material to help . I like the book but I want to include more mallet playing in the first year. I am now looking to either include the Mallet Players Toolbox along with the Snare Drummer Toolbox or to switch to either the Kennon Wylie's Simple Steps to Successful Beginning Percussion or Mark Wessels' A Fresh Approach Method for both Snare Drum and Mallet Percussion. My goal is to now teach both snare and mallet side by side.
What has been your experience with any of these method books and which one have you had greater success with? Which method would be the easiest to do?
P. S. I play saxophone.
