There is a reason the infection rate for children is so low. Ready for it? THEY'VE BEEN LOCKED DOWN SINCE MID-MARCH!!! Seriously, how many places have kids actually gone? Not to school, not to camps, probably not to amusement parks, probably not to the mall to hang out, etc. If you look at the spots where kids (not just the "young" which includes older teenagers through 20s) the are the open tourist spots (i.e. - beaches, amusement destination areas) or places where camps were actually open. Some schools in the country that have opened already have also already had kids and teachers become infected. This WILL be a major problem this year. We WILL see districts close before the end of September or slightly later for those starting after Labor Day. I also predict (and this is not fear mongering or hyperbole) teachers across the state dying this semester from COVID. We know we will see massive infections, but how many deaths is acceptable in a situation that can be prevented?
