But I have to say--this is worse than anything I had to put up with. I have never been so glad to be retired and not having to deal with any of this to earn my living.
What is the solution?--the best thing for the kids, the teachers and other school employees, all their families, the businesses and the community as a whole? I don't know.
I suspect that if we had done a serious shutdown early on and everyone had followed the guidelines, we wouldn't be in such a big mess, but so many people seem to take pride in refusing to cooperate with any rules--because "you can't make me."
My heart goes out to all of you as you progress into this crazy school year. Stay as safe as you can and try not to let any of this destroy your health or your future.
