Re: The Midwest 2020 Clinic CANCELLED
If the stuff coming from the industry and Dr. Fauci is correct, there is a decent chance of there being enough vaccine doses by January. With everything closing down this has become a true moonshot style effort from vaccine companies. They all know that whoever can get a working, verified, vaccine to market first is going to make hundreds of billions, if not trillions of dollars off of it. As a result they've begun manufacturing doses to be ready for if they get approval. (They are making some impressive gambles here - if it's not they'll have wasted crazy amounts of money and production) My understanding is trials for things have the potential to be done anywhere between the end of July and September in the best case scenarios. I assume FDA is going to fast-track approval on this.
All that being said, TMEA is right on the edge of that. I would guess we call it off to be cautious, but it might be actually possible to do it.
I agree - anyone who thinks normal is going to happen this fall is going to get slapped in the face with reality in the next two weeks. I really see no feasible way that things like region auditions can happen in the fall right now.
