In addition to teaching percussion students, this position also offers opportunities to work with wind players and serves as an Assistant Band Director at Clovis High School.
This position starts at a base salary of $41,000 for a Bachelor's degree with no teaching experience (Level 1 Teacher). Added to that base pay, there is a stipend of $5,950 for the position of "Band Director". Total salary for a first year teacher would be $46,950. After a period of three years, you would be eligible to move to Level 2 which raises the base salary to $50,000, and after six years you would be eligible, with a Masters degree, to move to Level 3 which starts at a base salary of $60,000. Adjustments to the base salary can be made dependent upon teaching experience and licensure level of qualified candidates.
