Re: Stipend vs. Extra Days
Unless you have it otherwise in writing, your admin is correct. District extra day pay is not for days used inside the typical 188 day contract of a typical teacher contract. Those days are considered part of your teacher contract. Days beyond like a 207 day contract or a 216 day contract expand the work contract into a 10 month or 11 month and are days worked anywhere from late May to early August outside the teacher contract. Your schools HR department or website probably has an approved list of a general calendar of what 207 or 216 calendar looks like. But no, going to events with your organization would not be counted as the extra days on your contract as these dates would be considered as normal responsibilities for your job that would be covered by your wages and any stipend even if stipend is low.
