Re: UIL Summer Rehearsals Guidelines
Each band director sitting down with their administration and deciding whatís best for the band students within the context that UIL/TEA CDC provides. Maybe it means, given all the restrictions, that you decide itís not a semester to be competitive. The great thing is that the town next door can decide the opposite and itís still okay. Does this mean you throw up your hands and call marching season a wash? Not necessarily, it means you adjust and adapt and focus on what you can do for the semester. What you want your program to be this semester, given the restrictions in place, is not UIL or TEAs decision, itís yours. Just do what you believe is in the best interest of your students.
