Everyone has mentioned the 4 step interval, but how many of us thought about the front ensemble? Snare drums? Timing with battery lines could be challenging if this continues to the fall.
The wording in this also says "Any equipment must be thoroughly disinfected before and after each use." It doesn't delineate personal horns from everything else. Wiping down brass instruments won't be a big deal, but what about wooden clarinets? The next few sentences deal with shared equipment, but this precedes that.
Buckets of hand sanitizer will be needed, along with probably thermometers for every staff member plus a spare...
Add in the surfaces being sanitized throughout and after rehearsals and there's more of a question in my mind on making this work. I'm not even sure why UIL included the 25% capacity remarks in there when they say next only 10 students in a group for inside.
I'm currently thinking of trying to get my guard auditions done... but I'm definitely wondering about the logistics of doing much with this. I encourage you to speak with your ADs to see what they're doing too. If this were to continue to be the guidelines come August they're going to be unable to prepare kids for contact with football. Even if some of these restrictions lift I don't think they all will... As someone said below, I'm not sure when we pull the plug on trying to be competitive this year.
