That's how I understand things...the person bringing the lawsuit would have to prove that what was said about them was false, and therefore injured them professionally in order to win in court.
No, you can't.
You could be charged with libel for publishing negative things in the media or in email.
Simply bad-mouthing an employer would be considered slander, not libel.
Slander, by the way, is still illegal.
All of the above would be considered "defamation" which is the gist of the lawsuit that could result.
