Nothing is off the table. The teacher's union will have 0 ground to stand on if the doors do not open in the fall. We are expandable in the grand scheme of things regardless of what paper you are holding. They will RIF everything that is "non-essential" just like local governments did to businesses. Welcome to the brave new world. Just remember - we're all in this together and if it just saves one life (that's my new tag line. If you can't beat em, join em I guess)....
Take a copy of that contract to your local teacher's organization. They'll have a field day with that.
You have a property right to your employment, and you cannot be considered at will unless you're a probationary employee. You have a right to your job if you've signed a contract. Check with a lawyer. Soon.
