Re: Covid - Can't beat it - Join it!
Do you really think we are going back to normal next year? Do you think we are going to be permitted to have the same schedule as last fall? Asking for a friend.
For the record, I hope we do, but it is unlikely. Our district is looking like every other day half of the kids, Fridays elearning.
I heard that UIL is seriously considering no spectators at games.
Good luck friend.
So let's say it's July 10 and I get Corona. I'll be sick - for many it's like Flu, and then I need to Quarantine and I'm ready to go in August. Before July I'm in peak health and I can sleep-in as long as possible to recover with very little stress.
The school kids made be sick as I teach them how to play flute in September. I'm super-stressed about the marching show! I can't sleep-in because I have to have 7am sectionals. I get a weak immune system and Corona takes over much worse. I miss 25 school days (going on long-term leave) and my students and program suffer because nobody wants to be a substitute teacher.
Show me the CORONA WALL TO LICK in July! I'm doing it!
We all are going to get it! I want to get it when I most can beat it!
Anyone thinking about purposely getting Covid this summer in hopes to build up the immunity before the school year begins???
I'm in good health, 40s, and just want to put it behind me this summer so I can get on with my Fall and teaching!
We're all going to get it at some point and I believe that I will build an immunity to it.
