From a health standpoint, most teachers have been pouring from an empty cup so long that they've lost the cup. This has to change. Healthy, fit people are mostly getting through the virus OK.
Now more than ever, we need to prioritize healthy measures. Less eating processed foods, more eating real food*. More exercise, less sedentary life. We can all quote chapter on verse on what we ought to be doing, but when do we take the time to actually DO it?
Now is a great time to start improving cardiovascular fitness by walking and making a couple of dietary changes. If anyone wants a few tips, I am happy to share - I'm actually certified to coach, and as I've aged, I've grown a passion for helping teachers to be in better shape so they can enjoy retirement one day.
