In addition to the death rate spiking, the actual hospitalization rate is another key factor in getting back to normal. With the exception of New York, the vast majority of cases do not require hospitalization. Now that we know that, the chances of getting back to normal in August is much higher.
August is a long ways away. CDC just reduced the number of actual deaths due to the virus. 64 and under are much less likely to have complications. Don't be concerned yet. I would bet that school looks very much like normal by August. Day by day we learn new things. Football capping at 50 is useless because 22 guys are going to be face to face every play whether they have 50 or 90 on the sideline. Watch for the spike in death or hospitalizations rather than case count. When those don't spike, school will resume. (my opinion but I'm not a doctor and before you say my theory is bunk you aren't a doctor either). Even the experts are guessing right now.
