Re: Beginner Flute Vibrato
I start working my beginners late in the year with exercises, say March-April-ish. If I have a prodigy, I'll go ahead and start that kid on it early. It's something that they know about, though, since the first few weeks of instruction. I plant the thought early, and give a brief synopsis of how to do it, and keep mentioning it until we start working exercises.
When is a good time of year to start flutes using vibrato during the beginner year?
What must they need to be able to do before determining they are ready/able to start playing with vibrato?
Any and all advice welcome!
