Re: Contract Renewal
There used to be a law that pushed it back into March, then we had the economic downturn in 2011ish that a lot of rules changed. As the person below said now it's 10 days before the end of the year. If you want to be more discreet about checking on it look at your board agendas. At least in my district contracts are always an agenda item when they come up. We have a new superintendent who did them all this past meeting so we got them before Spring Break for the first time since that law passed. (Thank God with all of this going on!)
Like someone said below, usually if it's a problem you probably know already. If the decision hadn't been made before this started I would presume most people would rehire rather than deal with finding someone in this new reality. I think we're going to see a lot of people holding onto jobs this year that they might have otherwise left to look elsewhere.
