Re: Field trips/festivals/etc
Insurance exists not to help the customer but to help the company. They want to make money. We have found in a potential upcoming personal trip that we have trip insurance for there is a chance the insurance we bought in case the trip didn't happen doesn't cover pandemics....
You'd think travel companies would have some sort of provision in the contract where they will allow schools to canceled in the event of a national emergency or a disaster declaration. I haven't taken a trip in many, many years and I never used a travel company when I did, but I'm starting to think travel companies are a ripoff and no better than the shadiest used car salesman in town.
I was told by my travel company that theyíll have to go by the contract, meaning we donít get our money back. I may just tell them to keep us on the books so it will be them who have to back out when the venue is still closed.
No official word from the school after April 13, but I think we all see where this is going.
Refunds in progress from Contest/travel companies
Where is your district at with events at the moment? Iíve heard of some people cancelled through the semester, some playing by ear, a combination. Just curious what all is out there.
