Re: UIL with no uniforms
If your district will not buy uniforms; you're not going to be competitive. Thats the bottom line. NO, a uniform doesn't make you competitive. A district that is supportive of the band program is the first step to being competitive everything else come second.
Some may disagree, but I can guarantee those people have never seen a band at AMC without uniforms.
My problem is how competitive my region is, since its the same as Katy, and my district admin expects a 1st division year one of marching and a ticket to area. I figured I would try to look professional enough since marching is so new, and looks matter so much to my students, I do not want them to feel so under par with those schools.
