Keith Meek in the Dallas area gave a clinic at TMEA a couple of years ago that was the best approach to teaching beginner trombones I've seen. He really knows what he's doing there and a nice guy. Reach out to him through his BlastOfBrass website.

I found out that I'm going to be teaching trombone for the first time next year. I'll have a class of homogeneous beginners.
Can anyone point me to either good YouTube videos, a book that you like, or just give me some good advice here?
I know the usual "good air, open teeth, fast slide, buzzing/pitch matching," etc of the first couple of weeks/months. I'm looking for how to get them through the second semester and maybe where they should be by what month.
