Re: Of course it would happen
We are going to make the best of it. As far as our admin helping, not going to happen. Testing is priority, academics and athletics are second, and we're on the bottom of the food chain. Getting in one extra rehearsal could help.
Be sure to explain the situation to your admin, they might be able to help. Remember that you cannot control what happens to you but you can control how you react. Get after it, and do what you can when you can.
We're going to our early contest to avoid other conflicts and testing. Picked easier music and it's going okay. Looking for a clinician. We've been out for two days for snow. Tuesday, our admin released the benchmark test schedule for the next two weeks. That means I'll have kids gone during band. To make it even worse is they'll be using the auditorium for testing. Normally on a good auditorium, it should be fairly soundproof. Ours, the sound from the bandhall carries into the auditorium. TMEA, next week, too. Luckily like I said, we're playing decent, just not polished. We'll have to take what we're going to get and do our best. SR could be scary since that's what we were going to focus on next week before I head south for SA. Good luck to all this year.
