Re: Average Daily Attendance (not a band question)
In my school for example (at least as I understand it), we had an estimate for our enrollment numbers. X number of kids in school for Y number of days = Z number of dollars from the state. When reality hit and we had low enrollment and poor attendance numbers we had to repay many thousands of dollars - enough to cost us a teacher the next year.
What happens to a school that doesn't meet the "target" daily attendance? Where does it come from? I know it's tied to money, but how? Or why have a target?
I ask because I don't think we have meet our target in years and nothing seems to change.
