Re: Asking for a raise
a district with a FAD that indicates there may be multiple HS's and assistant positions. Your "position" is the district pay for your experience and your stipend, whatever that may be. According to our system all 3rd year teachers get set amount of dollars. All assistants get set stipend in your district no matter the size of your program compared to others in the district or your responsibilities and success. Go to who you want but they won't change it just for you.
If you want more money you will have to go to a district with a higher pay scale for your experience and a larger stipend for your position.
It may be time to go be a head director for the bigger paycheck. But that comes with being able "ask for what you need" and standing up for your program and more stress.
