Take your leave and do the proper paperwork in order for your school to place somebody in the classroom so your students are able to learn and be successful in your absence.
In order for you to be a great teacher, you need to be healthy. Feeling guilty is not necessary when your health is involved. Take the proper steps and apply for FMLA leave and let a substitute who is qualified take your place so your counterparts are not picking up the slack and your students are able to continue learning.
First of all I commend you for seeking the help od health professionals. Now, until the problem is diagnosed and your are under a treatment plan, eat well and get as much rest as you can, don"t get to the band hall too early and don't stay too late. If you have help, they need to know you are struggling with some health issues, and if they are not already, maybe they will help take up the slack. I will keep you in my prayers.
How do you handle health issues and missing? I feel guilty that I've missed quite a bit this year but my health isn't great.
Working with doctors to get things sorted out but feeling a little useless and overwhelmed.
