Right there with you. I remember as a kid, about 1981, I was watching a very close Celtics vs. 76ers game on TV. In the 4th quarter, the 76ers coach was ejected from the game, and sent to the locker room. He turned on the TV in the locker room to watch the rest of the game. Soon afterwards, the Celtics called a time out. CBS pointed a camera over Larry Bird's shoulder, and you could see the play KC Jones was drawing on the clipboard. The 76ers coach sent one of the team's managers to the 76ers bench who told them what play the Celtics were going to run. The play went bust, and the 76ers won the game.
Nobody got suspended or fired, but from that point on the NBA ruled that you couldn't watch "your own game" in the locker room.
You shouldn't go watch any professional sports then. There is always some version of "cheating". Most of it is never this bad, but it still exists
