Re: overplayed UIL??
Just because some or even a number of bands have performed it for UIL, does not mean that ALL bands have had the opportunity to perform it at UIL. Why do some of you insist on wanting something pulled off the list without considering the bands that have not had the same opportunity to program a piece as the other bands? How does a band performing a piece at UIL affect your personal band? I think the reason we have the sightreading situation and state and area marching contest situation and other UIL changes that we have now is that a lot of directors won't just worry about their own programs and leave the rest of us alone. If you think something is "overplayed", fine. Don't program it with YOUR band. Geez!
