I was fortunate to work with Stuart for 3 years in Azle. Great teacher. Greater man.

Stuart Shipley passed away this past Saturday after being diagnosed with cancer a couple of weeks ago. Stuart worked for Arlington ISD most of his career and opened Young JH. His last 10 years before retirement he spent at Azle JH.

Stuart’s memorial service will be this Saturday at 10am at First United Methodist Church-Arlington.

He was a great man, educator, and mentor! I am fortunate for the great friendship we had the past 8 years. He had some great bands throughout his career.
