They also play all Orion Marching Euphoniums and F Att. Trombones. The clinician apparently didnít notice a problem with those. And the band In question has received sweepstakes every year with Orion and advanced to area this year for the first time in many years. Judges didnít seem to notice tuning problems. Kind of hard to get good music scores with your bass line being ďuntunableĒ.
As for other stores refusing to repair them, that says more about their integrity than ours. But itís usually not the fault of the repair people. They are just following orders not to legitmize something the stores canít get. Itís a cut throat business.
We have dealers in 6 other states and England. One is a large chain. Orion instruments were thoroughly checked out by their repair personnel and given a thumbs up. They were play tested by their schoolsí directors and lesson teachers and given a thumbs up.
We make three levels of French horn. The beginner one has more back pressure intentionally and you are right no French horn player likes them. I actually tell them that before they try it. They are purely made for a 5th or 6th grade beginner. Itís along the same theory of starting young students on a small bore tenor vs large. Never had a single complaint about tuning. Designed this model for my beginners at Godley. Lowest beginner horn drop out rate I ever had.
Our intermediate model took 4 years and 5 prototypes with the help of, lesson teachers, directors and college personnel. Our last order of 40 didnít last 2 months. We have college students who own these as well as schools. We have sold to many schools more than once. They must like them.
Pro Horn is available in limited numbers until we are sure of consistency. We only made 10 this year. If anyone has trouble with this instrument, that is in stage 2 of development, we will replace with upgraded model or full refund. Same lifetime warranty exists as well as one year free maintenance. If the other brands are so obviously superior, they should offer this as well. Or better yet, the music Store you deal with should offer that guarantee. Shouldnít be an issue. Put your money where your mouth is and stand behind your product like we do.
To date, we have replaced out of approximately 2200 instruments sold over the last 3 years, a grand total of 14 instruments. 10 of those were in stage 2 that were bought by schools and tested for us with a guarantee of replace with the new upgraded version or total refund. No refunds have been requested to date for the last 3 years.
Since I suspect you are either someone who owns a music store, works at a music store or are closely connected to one, expecting you to state your name is probably futile.
