Re: Plugs for a Clarinet?
Prior to the days when Conn-Selmer purchase the Leblanc corporation, there was a Vito Plateau clarinet that was awesome!! Since Conn-Selmer purchased the company, many models have been dismissed for obvious reasons and not sure if this one still is available or not. You may always look on Ebay or Amazon!
I've got a 7th grade clarinet player who has extremely tiny fingers. They're so small that he has trouble covering the holes. We hoped that he'd have a growth spurt over the summer, but it just never happened. He's got a good embouchure, but his own anatomy is holding him back. Has anyone ever experimented with the concept of plugs for a clarinet? Nothing to cover the entire key, of course. Just to make the actual holes that he'd have to cover with his fingers smaller.
