I feel the pain and get your point, however, I have always had the opinion for myself, there are two sides of the down, stay or quit! However, let me ask this, I get all of the things you nailed you hate, but have you thought of the affect on the kiddos, how your attitude reflects on them? Do you want that? Is that fair to the program which is paying you? Are the kids that you mean a lot to? You may even be more than a parent to some of them. In my book, please understand, I feel your pain, but truly, look at the kiddos that need you and how you affect their lives. You are not just teaching how to play open C on a trpt., you are creating a person, a future leader, a parent to one who lives with granny because dad is scum and momma works three jobs to provide, to keeping off the streets and drugs..you may be more of a Rock Star than you give yourself or the job. Please note I am not supporting the place of your employment, I am trying to offer assistance for you to re-focus so you are not miserable until you are able to find that happy place! Your heart and those kids!
I hate my job. HATE IT! Every single thing about it. I hate my admin, hate my ineffective FAD, hate the counselors, hate one of my coworkers (the other one is whatever), hate the school culture and I hate coming to work everyday.
It makes me physically ill. I cry on my way to work at least 3 times a week. I find zero joy in the day to day. It's effecting me outside of work since I'm always tired. My husband says all I do is complain about work.
We have decided that no matter what, I will not return after this school year. I really just want to turn in my resignation but I know people will start treating me poorly but I also want them to know how much they have killed my spirit.
Has anyone turned in a resignation early in the year just because. I have no future job prospects. But emotionally I can't be here again.
