Hate to say it, but if you don't have an assistant to work with her, you need to bog down the class to fix it. It'll never get fixed if you don't dedicate about 10-15 minutes to fix it and then consistently monitor it over the next month or two. There's no quick fix here, she's learned to do it wrong. Now you have to re-teach it and make her do it right.
Discovered today that a beginner trombone is articulating by closing her throat. She's making an audible "guh", but only noticable when she plays alone. Everything else is pretty solid.
Any tricks to fix this without bogging down the class?
